Experienced Worcester Doula. Former Math Geek. Mom of 3.
I am here to support you and help you have a positive birth experience.
Hi, I'm Natasha.
You will never forget how you felt during birth.
Birth is the first big experience you share with your baby. And while birth can be unpredictable, there is one thing I’ve learned after supporting nearly one hundred families as a doula:
If you want your birth to be everything you dreamed of, you need to surround yourself with people who believe it’s possible.
Coming from a career in an analytical field, I didn’t think much about my first birth. I left the hospital with a healthy baby boy, but I felt shaken and deflated by the experience. I was determined to have a better experience next time and had a beautiful birth center birth with my second son. A few years later, I was blessed to welcome my third son at home.
Each of these births opened my eyes in different ways to the state of maternal healthcare in America and the impact that birth has on everything that follows. When my family was complete, I wasn't quite ready to leave the birth world behind.
I felt an undeniable calling to support other moms who wanted a better experience.
In 2016, I attended my first DONA birth doula training, later becoming certified and pursuing additional training in Spinning Babies™, breastfeeding, and trauma-informed birth support. In 2022, I took my passion for birth a step further when I began my studies as a student-midwife.
Since founding Quiet Waters Doula, I have supported vaginal births, cesarean births, VBACs, low- and high-risk births, premature births, induced births, epidural births, and completely unmedicated births. I have been beside moms and their partners in hospital rooms, birth centers, and at home. And I have been honored to help them find their voice, understand their options, tap into their spirituality, and confidently make informed decisions.
If you want to approach your birth experience prepared and emerge empowered, I'd be honored to support you—mind, body, and spirit—every step of the way.
Aside from mothering and doula-ing I also enjoy knitting, delicious food, a good cup of tea, being in nature, and, as I am originally from Russia, I enjoy learning about different cultures from my international friends.
The name Quiet Waters was inspired by one of my favorite scriptures, Psalm 23: "The Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters."
